My name is Susan G. Cline. I was born on Galveston Island, Texas and grew up on the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast Region of the world among a great diversity of people, cultures, food, and music. My novels are set in this region, and as my first series goes on, the settings extend out in other regions of North America, but the stories always return to their roots – the coasts of Texas…
A poet since the age of four, I was fifteen when my first poem was published in my high school newspaper.
Since the 80’s, several of my poems have won awards and received much recognition, many of them having been published and republished dozens of times. Three of my most well known poems are “Rose Without a Thorn,” “The Poor People,” and “Child Within.”
I am an internationally published author of the Rojo series.
